Pack up your things, we're gonna go on a trip. Just you and me and a red polka dot bag and stick. We pray to God the weather would be kind to just a couple of kids. It's gonna be a journey that'll teach us how to keep up our chins. Cause lately we have have been sulking around. Our old age has slammed us into the ground. We choke on our campfire along Highway 281. We try catching fish but they slip like a lisp from my tongue. So we decide to roast some hotdogs and in wonder watch the slow setting sun. As we lay under stars, you ask me what I'm thinking of. I say, "Lately we have been sulking around. Our old age has slammed us into the ground. Just look around, Baby. Life is better than what we've been seeing." The next morning we were packing and rolling up our sleeping bags. We broke down the tent but saw a hole that had formed from a snag. You were being silent, you had frustration all over your face. As we kicked dirt on the fire, I asked if you had something to say. You said, "Lately we have been sulking around. Our old age has slammed us into the ground. Just brush these leaves off of our jeans and hike these mountainous routines. Cause it might be hard to see the end but I wouldn't wanna do it with any other friend."

"I can handle it," She said jumping it. It's not utopia, it's a real world situation. Our mothers did and we should've learned but you're so easily persuaded. It hurt my face when you used to scrape the mud off of your shoes. I've been waiting on your doorstep so long. Don't you see I'm what you need? Maybe it's in our genes that these feelings result in tunnel vision. The anticlimax of feminism when we do what we know is wrong. It hurt my face when you used to scrape the mud off of your shoes. I've been waiting on your doorstep so long. Don't you see I'm what you need?

Convenient 02:16
don't call me when she stops calling you don't text when lonliness chokes you blue you see, if you didn't want me then... then don't think i'll want you now you see, i'm not desperate and i've got lots of things on my plate and i can be patient, oh i've learned just how to wait we'll probably still be friends but don't think i'm a fool i won't waste my heart on you what made you think i wouldn't catch on from the start? you led me on and never thought i could be this strong so think again if you think i'll be a convenience oh oh nooo oh please, i know you don't see this going far it's just your ego needs food to stay big and strong there are other girls who will vye for your attention but i couldn't care if you died

Derby 05:06
you've got your cigarette and your beer why'd you change this past year? you know i used to admire the things you used to aspire but now it's hard to see you drifting, lost at sea immersed in the past, she won't be your last people change, oh i know that already people change, yes i knew that before but why do they let themselves become what they always would say they couldn't convey and why do i still continue to fill my playlist with them? i'd never condemn... so take this nicorette and please don't forget the girl who gave it to you, the one that you tattooed i hope that someday when your band comes to play i would ask and you'd agree to sing with me your voice, oh makes me close my eyes and tilt my head and spill every breath from my chest people change, oh i know that already people change, yes i knew that before but why do they let themselves become what they always would say they couldn't convey and why do i still continue to fill my playlist with them? i'd never condemn him ohhh

Scarves of wool and pumpkin pie are always paired with pleasant times, but this year they remind me of what will be so tough. I only ask of you one thing: hold me close until January. I'll be cold when you let me go but I've gotta go. Trace your doorway with mistletoe, I'll hide with you from the hiding snow. I'll be with you for the holidays but I know right now that I'll want to stay. I'm afraid that you might heal, that eight long months could break the deal. So I try to think that you might think of me every night. I'll keep a jar of your cologne, when I smell it i won't feel alone. I can't bear to let you go but I've gotta go. Trace your doorway with mistletoe, I'll hide with you from the hiding snow. I'll be with you for the holidays but I know right now that I'll want to stay.
