lyrics

Pack up your things, we're gonna go on a trip.
Just you and me and a red polka dot bag and stick.
We pray to God the weather would be kind to just a couple of kids.
It's gonna be a journey that'll teach us how to keep up our chins.

Cause lately we have have been sulking around.
Our old age has slammed us into the ground.

We choke on our campfire along Highway 281.
We try catching fish but they slip like a lisp from my tongue.
So we decide to roast some hotdogs and in wonder watch the slow setting sun.
As we lay under stars, you ask me what I'm thinking of.

I say, "Lately we have been sulking around.
Our old age has slammed us into the ground.
Just look around, Baby.
Life is better than what we've been seeing."

The next morning we were packing and rolling up our sleeping bags.
We broke down the tent but saw a hole that had formed from a snag.
You were being silent, you had frustration all over your face.
As we kicked dirt on the fire, I asked if you had something to say.

You said, "Lately we have been sulking around.
Our old age has slammed us into the ground.
Just brush these leaves off of our jeans
and hike these mountainous routines.

Cause it might be hard to see the end
but I wouldn't wanna do it with any other
friend."
